Check out the 3D images of our BOY Noah Gage!!!!! =) Wahoooo! He's definately a cute boy! =)

The lady said that he really liked cuddling right up to the placenta. ;)

He did as much finger tasting as he did thumb tasting =)

mmmm, check out how yummy that thumb is! =) Think he'll share? =)

Check out that TINY little foot! Noah, LOVES to play KICK the stethoscope! I think he was going for another game of it here! =)

After some prodding by the lady, Noah finally let down his little boxer guard long enough to throw to "get out of my face" swats @ the little tummy looker machine thingy. =)

This one makes me wonder if I was a closed fist thumb-sucker, or an open handed point to the eye sorta thumb-sucker...

Check out the 3D images of our BOY Noah Gage!!!!! =)
So, after that incredibly fun week of VBS action, this is how we relax, Sunday through Tuesday. We got LOTS of stuff done in the basement! Wahoo! =)

Bathroom drywall all finished up. Ready for sanding and more mud...

looking toward the south end, the Grandparents Suite has DRYWALL UP! =)

Looking East into the "hallway" that leads to the Grandparents' Suite Bath and Storage room entrance (and the ol' closet there on the right) =) Check out that sweet drop ceiling too! That was interesting to get up there, tucked right up against the HVAC! wow...fun! =)

Finally, check out that beautiful wooden door Andrea's Pop made for the outdoor water spicket shutoff valve! That is going to look GREAT after we paint and stain! =)

So, after all that relaxing...check out TODAY's stuff!

Well, this is what we were recovering from...wow...what an awesome week ;) Averaged 250 kids and 75 helpers each day. FUN!

well, quite obviously, the kids @ VBS raised $1500...actually, they raised $2431 =) Way to go VBS KIDS! :)

Well, it's back to normal, mostly, for the Tanners now. We got to "sleep in" today, which was a change...but we've also got that not so excited feeling since VBS is over. So, we've taken to keeping ourselves busy w/ garage sales to find baby stuff, and house cleaning for company, and of course, gotta finish that stereo install in the car...oh boy, the dash of that car really hates me!

I guess we'll head off to the ol' G'town Drive In too, since XMen3 is showing there tonight, that should be fairly packed ;) @ least it will keep us from missing all the people from VBS, as I'm sure most of them will be there.

Ahhhh, VBS. I feel as though this year I did a whole lot more of the organizing, leading, Q&A, and all that other stuff that Robin helped me so much w/ last year. Of course, none of this would have happened if GCC wasn't so supportive of VBS! WOW are they a bunch of people who LOVE KIDS! Seriously, I think we had an average of 250 kids everyday, and at least 50-75 helpers/day too. Man, I can't even imagine a week of NOT VBS now. It's like the hardest week of work (aside from camp and mission trips), but also the most rewarding too...I dunno, but you probably know what I mean. It's way fun, and way hard, and it's so way fun, that I almost want it back ;) But, then again, I do look forward to meeting my wife again. =)

Okay, back to the stereo/dash of that lousy car!

Big decisions about Boppy's

Well, today Andrea and I had the boppy talk. Of course, I didn't know that there was a boppy talk to be had, but I learn quickly ;) So, over some well earned (read 24 hours of VBS in the last 5 hours) Qdoba we discussed all (well, most) things boppy. Now, I'm not so sure, as you already know, that these sorts of things make a big difference, but, Andrea began explaining how some peditritians recommend and some discourage the use of a boppy. I'm still on first mind you, what the heck are we talking about...when did peditricians enter this conversation...and she's citing clinical studies. (Noah, you have no idea how well cared-for you are already)

So, I'm in burrito world, thinkin' that the biggest decision I'm going to have to make regarding the boppy is what we call it! Which, as if you couldn't already tell, it's boppy. So, what did you, or do you call it?

There it is! The most redneck mower on the block! =) That's right, the seat I found in a trash bin @ the Bargain Supply fit on my mower...after a little bit of drilling, some stapling, and a couple trips to the hardware store =) I'm in action now! Check out my sweet cupholder action there too...fun times! I now officially have more invested in the nuts and bolts on this mower than I do in the mower itself ;) Thanks again for the freebies everyone! =)

Summer Time!

Ah! Noah and I are thoroughly enjoying the summer days--time to work on upcoming VBS songs and motions, shop, eat lunch with Chris, sleep, take inventory of the freezer and pantry contents and maybe even use some of the items found, read a book for fun (just finished Sam's Letters to Jennifer by James Patterson and just started Dee Henderson's The Witness). Of course, I think it is about time that Noah can begin hearing us, so we better throw in some educational books for him!
My favorite has been having time to just sit still for a bit and feel little Noah wiggling around inside of me. His activity is becoming more and more evident, especially at night time. And, Noah behaved so well last week--both Grandmas got to feel Noah dancing around.
Hope you all can enjoy some summertime fun as well!

actually, posted by Andrea...not me...as if you couldn't tell...

Okay,

so we also did a few other things like visit 4th Street not-so-Live with Andrea's parents on Sunday. Typically, one of the places to be around the Lou, it's apparently not a really popular place around 8pm on Sunday Nights...hmph... Well, we sure didn't mind. As a matter of fact, it was kinda nice to hear each other talk w/o screaming...man...I'm getting old...wow...

So we mosied on down to the Seelbach, checked out the "only" five star restaurant in Louisville, The Oak Room. Well, as you can see on their site, apparently it's the only 5 diamond rating by AAA in Kentucky! Well, fancy that! I guess 5 diamond is another way of saying, "you can't read our menu, and we can't use dollar signs, both of which should tell you you're not going to like the food here." =) Check out the "Summer Menu." Try to hold down you lunch as you choke down those prices...

So, anyway, that was really fun, b/c the Seelbach is so wicked awesome looking and nice, even if that restaurant is expensive...wow... nice place.

That all brings me to the discovery of the year. The place where all too much of my hard-earned money will go so very infrequently for the mouthwatering steaks and almost CANDY, mashed potatoes...

I give you the secret of the universe...or @ least the one that's cheaper than morton's and Ruth Chris' Steaks, Stoney River!

Thier tag line is "Legendary Steaks," and after you cut one piece of their filet w/ your FORK, you'll know it for SURE...this is the best steak on the planet. Our parents agree...and boy did our stomachs ever love it...mmmmmmmmmmmm....

I'm tired now...night.
Last Sunday through Thursday BOTH sets of Grandparents came AND Grandma PAT TOO! They worked VERY hard to finish up drywall in the "Grandparents Suite" down stairs. So far, it's looking FABULOUS!

Check out Grandma hosing off the patio after the rain came and soaked up the drywall dust...

Mom is mudding over all the screw heads and in the valleys. Thanks Mom! =)

Mike Boone even stopped by Thursday night to finish up the shower faucet, handle, and we've got ONE last piece of drywall to stick back there still...but it's coming together! I think it's time for MORE mudding and sanding down there! Thanks again for the help Mike! =)

Me and Dad trying to get this stinkin' faucet all straight so that it looks like it comes out STRAIGHT on the other side! =) BOY were we ever glad Mike stopped by!

So many have asked, are you done w/ the baby room yet? Well, no...it's got a few pieces of furniture in it. Those will be moved down to the basement when we finish up the Grandparents Suite! =) THEN we'll get to work on the BOY's room! YAY! =)

(L) Vera sweeping up & (R) Dad & Leland installing the last piece of drywall in the Grandparents' Suite.

There, that should keep me out of the blog Penalty Box.

French & Frakes - it's time to blog again... c/mon...

Hey,

Noah has had grandparents visiting since Sunday, which was Graduation Sunday for FC'ers. He's been performing quite well I must say as he's done the kickin' trick for BOTH Grandma's so far. What a good boy!

In the meantime, grandparents and even GREAT Grandma Pat have been so busy in the basement w/ us that we haven't bogged a THING! We're makin' good progress down there...building the grandparents sweet as we call it. :)

Bathroom drywall almost finished & mud going on everywhere!

Well, back to work, lest I be the slacker!

pix and more later.
