and so it begins...my very biased view of the boy! =)
check 'em out
Mommy is doing VERY well. Noah wants McDonald's french frys about 18x more than he should. He's a VERY lucky boy, b/c his mommy only feeds him those when I insist that he gets what he wants. We're workin' on fixing that "give 'em what he wants" thing before he gets out, as I know that's not a good thing. BOY God sure knew what he was doing giving me a boy first. If it was a girl...oh man... I don't think I'd ever learn how to say no! =)
TENTATIVELY, mommy and daddy are scheduled to enjoy a "Babymoon" on Hilton Head Island, SC. We're stayin' @ The Hilton Oceanfront Resort for the first 2 days. Following that, we're going to try out a priceline trick or two to see if we can't score some 5 star stuff (The Westin) for under an Uncle Ben.
Summer has come and gone. For those of you who receive the Journal, you know all too well how busy this summer is ALREADY! ;) I believe that this is the beginning of the end of the gone for 2 months @ a time summers. W/ Noah on the way, and Mommy unable to chaperone everything, I'm just not about to be away from the family for 2 months at a time. Although, I must say, we really enjoyed being able to spend that much time w/ students and others in ministry, that sorta life will just have to wait 30 more years. Hopefully, at which point, we can beign children's ministry again, with our grand kids! =)
Still trying really hard to track down some 4-D ultrasounds. I'd LOVE to get pictures of little Noah INSIDE the mommy...but so far everyone seems to want you to be a patient first. hmmm...how to "fix" that? :)
Well, bed is calling! Time for SLEEPY!

The little boy's heartbeat is so small. I bet some day his heart will beat for some crazy woman (or so we'll think) and he will fall all in love with her. I just hope we have the patience to watch him get hurt and try again someday. Bleh, don't wanna think about that too much today!
Well, anyway, he's got a healthy 148-150 in this recording, and I think toward the end you can hear me sayin' "...48..." and the doc confirming that :) Check out his little heartbeat here.

For those who are staring at that like any normal guy might... to the left of the "BOY" is his stuff. Our ultrasoundologistlady said that he is a very good boy b/c he showed us first thing that he was a boy! Ya Noah! I hope that's not the last time he behaves. Although, I hope even moreso that he's not as eager to show his stuff in the future...but somehow I'm pretty sure that's not gonna happen. ;) "Nature-boy"ism sorta runs in the family. My parents LOVE telling those stories =) More pictures to follow!

The Labor & Delivery Room
Yep - that's it, all of it - not quite a hampton, but hardwood floors are a really nice touch! Andrea said Western Batpist's was way bigger (requires use of the eVIL browser, internwebconnect explorer) - ah well :)
Andrea said that honestly, she doesn't think she's really going to need a room much bigger for me a couple nurses and a doc...even though the doc won't be there too much =)
We got to see the labor/Delivery rooms following our "baby class" tonight, and we also got to "hear" the baby's heart beat! YAY FUN! =) We were supposed to get a little print out, but our little secret agent baby twin in there has quite obviously taught Noah-Grace most of his/her little heartbeat masking tricks. We DID hear SOME heartbeat - just not enuf 4 this 2 sound really gr8. Oh well, maybe in 2 weeks we'll get a good recording! :)

Clothes crisis

So, Mom & Dad Tanner (the real Mom & Dad Tanner, the ones that made me), offered to sell us their van and take my sweet ghetto-sled as a trade (knowing how awesome it is and that no dealer in the world would understand just how incredible sweet of a ride it is). So, the younger Tanners get that beauty of a van up there!
Now before you get all carried away w/ all the names and all the profiling that my driving a mini-van will instigate...you need to know that this is incredibly thoughtful on my parents behalf! You also need to know that this is just not even possible...and that it can't really be happening...I can't possibly be getting a mini-van...that's just not even possible... I can't even be that old...there's just no "flippin'" way!
So, since it's going to happen...I'll just kick it off w/ the name calling and racial...I mean, automotive profiling, so here goes...
The BABY-mobile, or the all-too-obvious, california rasin, the soccer-mom(or dad)-mobile, yuppie wagon, Tanner's tAxi, go ahead, let 'em go...might as well get 'em out of the way
I just can't believe I'm old enough to get a mini-van...this just has so many implications...uh...I can't bear to think of it! =)
Sure is thoughtful of Mom & Dad though! =)
